St. Patrick's Day

The Lucky Little Leprechaun paid our boys a little visit on St. Patty's Day. He sent them on a scavenger hunt that led them to their very own toy box. To their surprise it was full of loot. I had other ideas of green milk and such, but last year Isaac wouldn't touch my colorful array of food. So I bagged it. We stuck with the gold and green things the Leprechaun brought.

My Baby is 2...

Oh I am so sad. My baby is going to be two this week. Where does time go. He is such a happy little soul and is an important part of our family. He brings such a wonderful spirit and energy into our home.
Here are few tidbits of info about Alex:
He is happy almost all the time.
He is carefree and easy going.
He idolizes his brother.
He thinks he is five years old.
He is animated and makes several funny faces.
He is a total comedian and keeps us laughing all the time.
When he runs, he leads with his belly and focuses on the ground.
He loves Diego and Dora.
He loves to make animal noises.
He looks just like his Daddy at this age.
He has a strange aversion to chicken, but will eat chicken nuggets.
Would eat his body weight in blueberries.
His favorite person is Mimaw(even though he calls her House).
He is exploding with new words everyday.
He refuses to sit in a high chair.
Loves other kids.
We love you little monkey!

Only in Utah...

On March 5th we had one of the bigger snow storms of the year. I had mentioned to Travis that I hadn't taken any pictures of Alex in the snow. Trav's comment was that we haven't gotten any. So I jumped at the chance to take a few and document that we did have some snow. Today, two weeks later it was 64 degrees and the boys were sweating when they came in from playing outside. Only in Utah.

Train Play

For Christmas, Tutu and Papa gave the boys a Lionel Polar Express Train. Wow, it was a hit. Isaac loves controlling it and Alex just likes to watch it go fast. It is so cute to see Isaac reenact one of his favorite movies.

Isaac loved putting the deer on the tracks and watching the train push them over.

It actually moves fast enough to blow Alex's hair.

Something's Missing...

On Feb. 24th, Isaac lost his first tooth naturally! Woo Hoo! It has been wiggly for over a month. He wouldn't let anyone pull it. (Maybe he was having flash backs from when the dentist pulled the first one) So, of course he was over at my neighbors house when it came out. He was so excited and the tooth fairy left him $3.

100 Days of School

On Feb. 16 Isaac's school celebrated the 100th day of the school year. Now with my son's love of numbers, he was probably more excited than most for this day. The kids were asked to bring 100 items for their trail mix. Isaac opted for chocolate chips. They did lots of activities that had to do with the number 100 and he came home rockin' some pretty cool 100 glasses.

Valentine's Stuff

I know I've mentioned that Valentine's Day is not a big deal at our house, but here are a few of the things we did to celebrate. I was lazy this year and didn't make my sugar cookies from scratch. I bought a kit that had the icing, cookies and sprinkles all together. This was a first for Alex. Of course he loved licking the knife.

Isaac picked Fun Dip Valentines for his class at school. Apparently, this was a very popular option this year, he came home with many Fun Dip Valentines. He had to make sure and get a little something special for his sweetie, McKenna. He picked out a mini Barbie and made sure to get one with brown hair because that is the color of McKenna's hair. I can't believe this is already starting.

He came home with this Valentine for me. It was so sweet it brought me to tears. You could tell it was just honest and from his heart.

Instead of making their Valentine box's at home, they made them at school.
With the help of Travis, this was my Valentine's present. I just love homemade gifts. They are the best.
