Easter

A little behind as usual, but here are a few highlights from Easter. This was the first year Alex actually participated in the egg dying process. Oh and he loved it. His first action was to drop the eggs in the dye from high above. I thought it would be fun to buy an "egg spinner". Note to self...it was crappy. I think we used it on one egg and then we were done.

kerplunk...

Alex figuring out that there was food inside... the waste of money egg spinner...
Always waiting on the pink ones...

the finished product...
The Easter bunny made a stop at our house and the boys had a great time finding the eggs. Alex learned very quickly that there was candy in them. He would want to stop after each egg and eat the contents.
Checking out the loot...
The Easter Bunny left Isaac the book Cloudy With a Chance of Meatball to fuel his ever growing new obsession with weather.(there will be a future post on this)

Alex got a sticker book and was immediately attaching them to everything in sight.

...party like it's your birthday!

On Sat. we had Alex's birthday party. We had to go with Diego, since that is Alex's favorite. I toyed with the idea of making a cake, but opted for the easy route...cupcakes. They are homemade red velvet with cream cheese icing.

Alex was completely absorbed with the decorations and just wanted to play with them.
I ordered balloons over the phone from Zurchers. I had no idea the mylar balloon would be as big as Alex.

Isaac(or as Alex would call him...I-kick) had a bit of a hard time with Alex receiving the gifts and attention. Uncle Mike and Uncle Jeremy were sweet and brought Isaac some silly string.
Grumpy really got it...

This was one of Alex's favorite presents...a singing sponge bob card.
We got Alex the Diego Animal Rescue Center and he was more than thrilled. We had to pry him away from it to even blow out his candles.
