Today I took Alex for his two month check up. He now weighs 12lbs. 14oz. and is 23.5 inches long. He is following right in his brother's footsteps and is on his way to being a big boy. He had to have his first shots which are always so sad. So needless to say he has been a bit off and a little grumpy today. One thing I found out is that he has something called torticollis. I guess it means wry neck. His head is tilting to the right. The doctor said it can be caused by lack of room in the womb. It is making his head a little flat on the right side, so I have to take him to a physical therapist to learn some stretches to help him. These pictures are actually him at six weeks, but I realized I never posted them.

Architect in Training
For those of you who don't know my Dad is an architect. He is old school, and still draws everything by hand. He is amazing. We went to visit him today and he was excited to show Isaac his protractors and things he uses to draw with. Isaac was so intrigued and had fun working with Grandpa. None of my Dad's kids took on the family profession(My grandpa was an engineer and architect and so is my uncle)but maybe he will have a grandson that will.

New pic of Alex
I took this picture of Alex last week and fell in love with it. You know sometimes you take pictures of newborns and they don't really look like them, well this is just very accurate of what Alex looks like.

Milkshakes
As of late, Isaac and Travis have been in the business of making milkshakes. We pick out our own candy bars and mix it with vanilla ice cream. Isaac's Grumpy loves ice cream, so over the weekend we got out his shake maker and whipped up some pretty good ones. Here's some cute pics.

Mother's Day
I had a great Mother's Day this year. Isaac and Travis got up and made breakfast. It was fun because Isaac was old enough to help pick out my gift. Travis took him to Target and he chose this clock for me.(surprise, surprise)Trav had picked out roses, but Isaac said he wanted to get these lilies. I love being a mom!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game
This spring we put Isaac in Tee Ball. I have to say, it went much better than soccer. I think he liked being able to have his own turn to hit the ball. He would get a little bored and want to come and sit with us, but he would ask every day if it was a tee ball day. It was great just to get him outside running around. Alex enjoyed the time outside as well.

Clocks, Clocks, and More Clocks
I know I've mentioned Isaac's love for clocks and watches. The kid has a serious obsession. Any time he meets someone he wants to see their watch. He always blows people away because he can tell time on an analog clock. Everyone knows how much he loves them and when the have an old or broken watch the give it to Isaac. My old visiting teacher came over this week to see Alex and she brought a gift for both of the boys. What did she bring Isaac? A new clock. Well lets just say it's not just clocks. Its scales,(we have to weigh all of his things at the grocery store), thermometers(he knows where every one is at Costco and we have to stop and look), compasses so pretty much everything that is round and has numbers and hands on it. Today we went to Target and I was going to get him some finger paints, thinking that would be fun, so on the art isle he finds a protracter and I made him choose. We did not go home with paints. This picture Isaac brought to me two days ago. He had drawn this clock all by himself. I was amazed since I have never sat down with him and helped write his numbers. So not to brag about my kid, but I just thought it was cool. Hopefully all of this number stuff will lead to a scholarship or something.
