Rocks and Water...

What better way to entertain two little boys than rocks and water. We took a little walk down to a small beach. Even though it wasn't super warm the boys had a blast looking for pretty rocks and throwing the others.

The week before we left, Isaac lost his second top tooth. He got a kick out of finding this rock that looked a bit like a tooth.

{Bald Eagles}

A couple months back Tutu and Papa started leaving food out for the bald eagles in the area. Now they come back almost everyday for food. Tutu has started bringing salmon heads for them. We would take them out and wait. I swear the second we turned our backs or went inside the eagle would swoop down and grab the grub. I did get some good shots of them flying away.

The boys would hang out in the hammock waiting for the eagle to come. I'm wondering if their excitment might have kept them away.

{Hot Tubbing}

Every night the ritual is the boys would take a hot tub before they went to bed. The best thing about Tutu's hot tub is, no chlorine. They have a filtration system that cleans the water. Also they keep the temp at 98-100 degrees, like a warm bath. So I can actually venture in. Since the pool wasn't working, the boys had a great time showing off their swimming skills.

{Spontanious Seattle Trip}

Every August we spend a week up in Seattle with my family. We usually go the week Travis has off from school. With me being as pregnant as I am, it looked like it was not in the cards this year. At the spur of the moment, the boys and I decided to take a quick trip to visit Tutu and Papa. We had a long day of travel to get there, our plane left at 7:15 am, arriving in Seattle at 8am. Tutu picked us up and we headed out for an almost two hour drive to the ferry. After an hour ferry ride we finally made our destination...Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. I feel so lucky to be able to spend time with such amazing people in such an amazing place. So I will be posting some of the fun things we did while we were there. The weather was a tad chilly, I'm not sure it made it to 70 while we were there. I have to say, it was wonderful for pregnant me though. We headed out on a little boat ride in search of some whales. We weren't successful in the whale department, but the boys had fun on the boat none the less.

Today was Isaac's first day of second grade. I really can't believe how fast this summer has gone. He has the same English teacher as last year, but has a new Chinese teacher. He said he had a great day, although he looked delirious when he walked out. It just blows me away how grown up he is. So here's to another school year. I will be updating my blog now that I am done working. I have a long list of "to dos" before this baby comes in two weeks, and catching up the blog is one of them.
