{July 24th}

July 24th was so fun around here. We had all the cousins on Trav's side in town, some from Nevada and some from Oklahoma. They were all rooming at Mimaw and Grumpy's house. We had a week full of fun activities that I neglected to take pictures at. These days I am a bit slow and my kids will have to forgive me for lack of documentation during this pregnancy. On Sun. the 24th we opted to go up the canyon for a little campfire. What is better that hobo dinner, smores, dirt, water and fire!
Isaac is so excited for his sister to arrive. He is so good with little kids and just wanted to hold Vivien the whole time. He finally realized a two year old doesn't want to be held and settle for sharing a chair with her.

These two 3 year olds were pure trouble together. Milo and Alex were inseparable and always into something.

That night, we had the annual fireworks. This year areal fireworks were legal in Utah. We had some very happy men around here. Uncle Jeff and Grumpy went as far as nailing them to a board.
If you didn't get the memo, orange was the color of the day.
Doing the best they can to keep their grubby hands off the goods.

We usually venture down to the Days of 47 parade. I had already opted out, and other soon followed. We settled for the Butlerville Days parade. One bonus was the kids got tons of candy.
Not quite sure what they were waiting for....
Bring on the water!

{South Beach}

On our last day on San Juan Island, we headed out to South Beach. It was a tad on the chili side, but the boys had so much fun. The gathered sticks, feathers and rocks. I think they could have spent an entire day there. It was so peaceful just watching the waves come in.

{Down at the harbor}

While I am in Washington, I always want fresh salmon. Where else better to get it than right down at the harbor. I have become a fish snob, and will not order it unless I am near the coast and it is fresh. We picked out a good one and Papa cooked it to perfection. I have to say, Isaac tried a raw oyster on the half shell and liked it. This is more than I can say for myself. Somewhere in my brain I just can't get over eating fish and seafood that is raw.
